NHV Hyperthyroid Support Has Been Helping This Cat For 5 Years

For progressive and chronic problems like hyperthyroidism, the treatment is lifelong. This is why we make our natural remedies safe for long-term use.  Steve, Mr. Dribbles’ dad, left us a great review recently. Thank you, Steve, for sharing with us this lovely update.

This product has saved Mr. Dribbles. Been 5 years now, and he’s a really happy & energetic 18 years old kitty. Resthyro really did the trick for him.

We are glad Resthyro could help Mr. Dribbles feel comfortable. Hyperthyroidism is a problem that affects most old and middle-aged cats. Signs of hyperthyroidism include:

  • Increased appetite
  • Weight loss in spite of excessive eating
  • Anxiety or hyper behavior
  • Howling at night
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Elevated liver enzymes

As our lead vet, Dr. Hillary Cook explains, “Not all cats will have these symptoms. In fact, about 20% of cats will be sluggish and depressed instead of hyperactive with decreased appetite. Left untreated, hyperthyroidism can lead to heart problems and a decreased immune system.”. Read more about hyperthyroidism in cats in her blog.

My cat was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with hyperthyroidism. She is on “drugs” but i am only doing those for 1 month to check her “levels” bloodwork on November 4th.
I immediatly had ordered NHV Resthyro and Turmeric upon learning her diagnosis, even paid overnight shipping… but at the time she had just been hospitalized for dehydration and fecal matter impacted in her rectal area. The hairballs are really effecting her much worse.

Anyhow, she is very picky about things added to her meals. I bake her chicken breasts in olive oil and a pat of butter for meals througout the day, she has Wellness Core Grain Free chicken indoor kibble for snacking and she gets wild caught poached salmon for breakfast.
How to I administer the Resthyro snd Turmeric?
She is “fed up” w various syringes previously shoved in her mouth w hairball medicine, laxitive etc…
    Thank you

Hi Tammy. Sorry to hear that your cat is going through so much. The Resthyro will surely help improve her thyroid levels and restore normalcy. The turmeric will help with digestion, cardiac health and inflammation if there. For administering our supplements the best way is to give them directly after her meals. They need to be given twice a day. But if giving them directly seems to stress her, then you can always mix them in her food, or some treats she loves or you could try something like yogurt, chicken broth or pureed pumpkin. These snacks will help her digestion and hydration needs as well as serve as a great hiding spot for the supplements too. In fact, it woudln’t hurt to top up all her meals with some chicken broth or pureed pumpkin. These will help her constipation troubles too. If the hairballs are becoming a persistent problem then later you could try giving her our natural remedy for hairballs called Hairb-ez.
